This full moon period begins on Wednesday evening, August 30th at 6:36 pm PDT.

This is a Blue Moon because it’s the second full moon in the month of August and it’s rare to have two full moons in the same month – thus the name comes from Just Once in a Blue Moon. The next one will be in a few years. It’s a Supermoon because the moon is closest to the Earth for all of 2023.

Astrologically, the Sun and Moon are in opposing signs on the Full Moon, and in this case, the Sun is in Virgo and the Moon is in Pisces. Virgo is all about productivity and steadiness and Pisces is all about intuition and creativity. This is a great time to remember our interconnectedness as we explore the mysteries of the world.
