Full Hunter Moon in Aries-Libra on Oct 9, 2022

This Full Moon period begins on Sunday afternoon on October 9th and is exact at 1:55 pm AZ (PST) time. Also known as the Hunter’s Moon, this is the time when hunters would go out to catch game for the coming winter.

We have a full moon when the sun and moon are considered in opposition, and at the time of this full moon, the sun is in Libra, and the moon will be entering Aries on 8:57 am on October 8th, and will be exactly opposed the Sun on October 9th at 1:55 pm.

Some folks say that this particular full moon will focus on relationships, partially due to the Sun being in Libra, the sign of partnership, but also due to a close conjunction with Venus, the planet of love and romance. Much of this energy will have to do with finding the balance between your needs and the needs of others. And interestingly, the Hunter’s Moon is often thought of as the moon of Love and good luck.

This is also a great time to do your inner healing – especially before the dark half of the year. Face your wounds and surrender them, so that you are in a better space to let go of the old and prepare for the new. This is also tempered by Chiron – the asteroid of the wounded healer – which is also joining forces with this Full Moon. When we surrender, we are letting go and opening to forgiveness, which actually gives us more courage and confidence to go forward.

A few more bits of news…. First, our Samhain ceremony will be on October 29th at 4:30 pm on Facebook Live. I will be posting more about that in the next week or so. And as for the online classes, I am having some challenges with finding the right platform, so it may be postponed for a while longer, although my hope was to start just after Samhain. I will definitely keep you informed about it all.

New Moon in Libra on September 25th

We are beginning this New Moon period as of Sunday, September 25th at 2:55 pm AZ time (PDT). New Moons represents the end of one lunar cycle and the beginning of another. Astrologically, this means that both the Sun and Moon are in the same sign, and on Sept 25th, they are both in Libra. The new moon is a time of new beginnings, and this New Moon is a time of balance, fairness, and harmony. So it is a great time to set intentions to have better relationships with others and to find that inner balance in your own life.

Many people see it as a good time to start or deepen romantic relationships as Libra is ruled by Venus, but it is also a time to deepen ALL relationships with others, especially your birth family, your soul family, or the family of humanity in general. Use diplomacy and equality in your dealings with others, as well as with your own self. It’s a great time to do inner child work. This is also a great time to make some positive changes in your life. The Libra energy helps with this.

Stay tuned to learn more about our online classes which we will be starting around Samhain.

Full Harvest Moon on Sept 10th, 2022

This Full Moon period is beginning on Saturday morning on September 10th and which is exact at 2:59 am AZ (PST) time… also known as the Harvest Moon, due to its close proximity to the Autumn Equinox. Right now, the sun is in Virgo, and the moon will be entering Pisces around 12:42 am on September 9th, and will be exactly opposed the Sun on September 10th at 2:59 am. Since this is happening in the middle of the down-to-earth Virgo season, practicality and logic are still prevalent, but the Pisces moon brings in more sensitive energy, and enhances our intuition. This full moon is also loosely conjunct Neptune, the ruling planet of Pisces, so this emphasizes the imaginative, sensitive aspect, and we may need to concentrate to stay grounded. It’s a great time to find the balance between order and chaos. This is also a great time to use the empathy of the Pisces moon to dedicate ourselves to serving all of humanity for the greatest good.

Watch the video for more details.

Remember, our Autumn Equinox ceremony is on Sept 17th at 5:00 pm (PDT) on Facebook Live. Tune in if you can. Watch the replay if you can’t be there live.

Still researching options for weekly classes again. Whatever we choose will give you options to buy bundled packages or single classes, and the plan is that classes will be both online and in person. Will fill you in on more details as I know them.

New Moon in Virgo on August 27th

This New Moon period is beginning Saturday, August 27th at 1:17 am AZ time (PDT) A New Moon also represents the end of one lunar cycle and the beginning of another. Astrologically, this means that both the Sun and Moon are in the same sign, and on August 27th, they are both in Leo.

The new moon is a time of new beginnings, and this New Moon presents an excellent opportunity for us to formulate some goals regarding “all things Virgo” which include organization, cleanliness, health, work, and new habits.

This new moon in Virgo is a good time to focus on starting over, and/or getting back on track. Because Virgo is so practical, it really is a time to get back to business. This may affect our workplace, our projects, and it may even bring new professional opportunities. Virgo energy likes a clean environment, so it’s a great time to clean house (both physically and in spirit). Detoxes are easier at this time – both physical and mental!

Also, be aware that our Autumn Equinox ceremony is on September 17th, 2002 at 5:00 pm on Facebook Live; three weeks from this New Moon.

Exciting news! I am in the process of planning to start classes again both in person and online. I am exploring platforms, and will, for sure, post here when that is all arranged. My hope is to start right after Samhain, and if everything goes well, they will be held live and on Zoom on Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:00 pm, and my plan is to have a platform to make them available to folks who want to work through our Study Program, at any time, or if you can’t make the class and want to watch them later. All of that is in the works….At some point, I may also present ceremony in person as well as on the same platform. Stay tuned!

Autumn Equinox – a Celebration of the Harvest

Autumn Equinox is a time of balance, a time when day and night are equal in length, and a time of turning inward as we contemplate the coming winter. It is also a time to express gratitude for all of the abundance and blessings that have come our way in the past year.

Druids of the Light will be meeting on Facebook Live on Saturday, September 17th at 5:00 pm to celebrate this wonderful time of harvest, and to honor Nuada and Airmed, the god and goddess of healing and prosperity.

The ceremony is approximately 30 minutes long. Suggested love offering of $10, but not required.

Full Sturgeon Moon on August 11th

We are beginning this Full Moon period on Thursday evening on August 11th and which is exact at 6:36 pm AZ (PST) time, and it is also known as the Sturgeon Moon due to the abundance of fish at this time of year.

We have a full moon when the sun and moon are considered in opposition. Astrologically, this means that both the Sun and Moon are in opposing signs, and at the time of this full moon, the sun is in Leo, and the moon will be entering Aquarius around 11:45 am on August 10th, and will be exactly opposed the Sun on August 11th at 6:36 pm. The moon in Aquarius will cause your relationship with your emotions to be more complicated because Moon in Aquarius needs emotional freedom. However, it is also easier to release yourself from fear, anger, and jealousy. This Full Moon axis deals with balancing the efforts we invest in ourselves (Leo) and what we do for the collective (Aquarius), and we may feel the inner pull between these two areas of our lives.

The Sturgeon moon is also a time to practice gratitude for all you have and the nature around you. Take a moment to really appreciate everything. Watch the video to find out more about this full moon period.

New Moon in Leo on July 28th

This New Moon period is beginning on Thursday, July 28th at 10:55 am AZ time (PDT). This new moon in Leo is a good time to focus on leadership and confidence in your own life. It’s time to take those goals you have been avoiding off the back-burner and go forth. You are being called to step up and take bold, confident action. You are the only one stopping you. Don’t listen to what others tell you to do. Listen to your own inner guidance and then do something to nudge you out of your comfort zone. We all need to push ourselves on occasion. This is definitely the time to do it.

Also, please remember that our Lughnasadh ceremony is on July 30th at 6:00pm Arizona time on the Druids of the Light Facebook page.
