The ceremony takes place on Saturday, March 20th, 5:00 pm – Facebook Live, on the Druids of the Light FB page and will be approximately 30 minutes long.

Imbolc – the Tender Promise of Spring

Winter Solstice ceremony

Our next high day will be here in just a few weeks…. The months seem to be flying by these days! Hard to believe Winter Solstice will be here in just a bit over 3 weeks. The actual Solstice is at 3:02 am on Dec. 21st AZ time.

We will be having our ceremony on Facebook Live on December 19th at 4:00 pm.

Winter Solstice is a solemn time, when we acknowledge the longest night. It is a time of introspection and profound beauty. As the seasons turn, it is also a time of celebration, as from this time forth in the wheel of the year, the light returns and the days grow longer.

We will also be acknowledging the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter which is happening at 0 degrees of Aquarius at 11:21 am AZ time. This is auspicious for many reasons which will be made clear during our ceremony.

The ceremony is approximately 30-45 minutes in length. We are hoping you can join us!

Samhain – Honoring the Ancestors

Samhain is a sacred time when we welcome the turning towards winter, the last of the harvest celebrations, the half way mark between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice.

It is also often considered to be the beginning of the Druid New Year. We honor our ancestors at this time when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest.

Come and join Druids of the Light in a very special Ancestor Rite in honor of Samhain, followed by a special blessing to carry us into the coming year. We will be meeting on Facebook Live at 4:30 pm on Saturday evening, October 31, 2020.

The ceremony is approximately 30 minutes long.

Suggested love offering of $10.

Autumn Equinox – celebrating the Harvest

It’s less than a month away. September 19th at 5:00pm on Facebook Live.

Autumn Equinox is a time of balance, a time when day and night are equal in length, and a time of turning inward as we contemplate the coming winter. It is also a time to express gratitude for all of the abundance and blessings that have come our way in the past year.
Druids of the Light will be meeting on Facebook Live September 19th at 5:00 pm to celebrate this wonderful time of harvest, and to honor Nuada and Airmed, the god and goddess of healing and prosperity. The ceremony is approximately 30 minutes long.

Lughnasadh online

We celebrated Lughnasadh on Facebook Live on August 1st. Quite a few people have tuned in – well over 300! This is amazing! We have saved the video so you should be able to watch it at your leisure here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2405607063072498

It was a lovely ceremony, and we are so grateful that we can celebrate online and share with others in this way!

We forgot to take pictures of the altar, but we did capture a picture of our Lughnasadh bouquet.

Stay tuned to learn more about the Autumn Equinox ritual – tentatively scheduled for September 19th.

Blessings of the harvest to all!

Lughnasadh

Lughnasadh is coming. On August 1st at 6:00pm, we will be celebrating online via Facebook Live, once again. The link to access the ceremony is here: https://www.facebook.com/druidsofthelight.

This is a special time of year – the time of the first harvest, as the wheel of the year turns from summer towards autumn. And what a year it has been. Our lives have been a little crazy since the Spring Equinox, but the seasons still go ’round and ’round, even if the form isn’t the same.

So, let’s remember that this is a wonderful time to give thanks for all that has come to pass; the realizations, the caring that folks demonstrate during these trying times, the opportunity to do our inner musings and work, which brings us to a state of being more prepared to live more fully from our hearts and souls.

Hope to see you online next Saturday. Blessings of the season to you!
