Summer Solstice 2023 – a Celebration of Light

The Summer Solstice is the time of the longest day, a time when the sun shines brightly upon us all. It is also the time of the shortest night, marking the turning of the year towards the dark times. In Arizona, the Summer Solstice is a time to celebrate the rains to come and to pray for our good harvest.

We will be meeting on Facebook Live on Saturday June 17th, 2023 at 6:30 pm, to honor this time of new growth and innocence.

The ceremony is approximately 30 minutes long. Suggested love offering of $10, but none will be turned away for lack of funds.

Full Moon in Scorpio-Taurus on May 5th

This Full Moon is exact on May 5th at 10:34 am AZ time (PDT). This is known as the Flower Moon because of the abundance of blooming flowers.

For this full moon lunar eclipse, the Moon is in Scorpio and the Sun is in Taurus. It’s very powerful and intense and brings about transformation. A great time to work on yourself and follow your intuition. The Sun in Taurus is very grounding which helps with the intensity to expand and evolve yourself …and the world… for the better.

Find your inner balance and strength. Let go of that which no longer serves and move into something better.

New Moon in Taurus on May 19th

The New Moon period begins May 19th at 8:53 am PDT (AZ time). Both the Sun and Moon are in Taurus.

This is a time of new beginnings, so it’s a great time to set intentions. Since Taurus is about groundedness, it’s a wonderful time to set goals related to finances, security, and worldly things.

Much of this is dependent on your own self-worth so do look at that, and don’t compromise or sell yourself short.

New Moon in Aries on April 19th

This New Moon period begins on Wednesday, April 19th at 9:13 pm PDT (AZ time).

Astrologically, the sun and moon are conjunct in the late degrees of Aries. In fact, the Sun enters Taurus just minutes later at 9:30 pm. This New Moon sees us moving forward on things we have been procrastinating – taking action.

This is also a time of pivotal feelings due to this also being a Solar Eclipse. This highlights and challenges our independence and personal courage. We need to be aware of areas where we are not being true to ourselves and stepping up to self-empowerment and mastery.

Pluto square and Chiron conjunction has us looking at our inner worlds and fears, but luckily, Jupiter is also conjunct the New Moon so we will have the resourcefulness to do what’s needed. Be brave and also be kind.

Beltane – a Celebration of the Life Energy that flows through us all

Beltane marks the time of high Spring, as the wheel of the year starts turning towards Summer. This is also a time of purification as the dark half of the year is finally behind us.

It’s a time of high energy and joyous celebration as all of life participates in the flow of fertile energy that courses through nature at this time of year.

We will be meeting on Facebook Live on Saturday, April 29th at 6:00 pm, to honor this time of the blossoming of the new.

The ceremony is approximately 30 minutes long. Suggested love offering of $10 is appreciated.

Full Moon in Libra-Aries on April 5th

This Full Moon period is beginning Wednesday night, April 5th, and is exact at 9:34 pm AZ (PDT) time (which means April 6th at 12:34 am EDT). This is known as the Full Pink Moon due to the time when little pink flowers (moss phlox) spreads across the ground in early spring, as well as the blooming of other flowers. It is sometimes called The Budding Moon or the Sugarbush Moon, and there is much optimism and enthusiasm at this time. The Best is Yet to Come.

We have a full moon when the sun and moon are considered in opposition. Astrologically, this means that both the Sun and Moon are in opposing signs, and at the time of this full moon, the sun is in Aries, and the moon will be entering Libra on April 4th, and will be exactly opposed the Sun on April 5th at 9:34 pm. Libra is associated with our relationships and how we interact within them, as well as fairness, justice, and “otherness.” It’s a time of lightness and benevolence and establishing equilibrium. Because the Sun is still in Aries, we need to remember to be responsible and act maturely when dealing with others.

There are two major aspects that bear mentioning. First, this Full Moon coincides with a conjunction with Chiron, the wounded healer, so it is a time to do your inner healing and be aware of not wounding others. Also this full moon is opposite Jupiter in Aries, so be sure to stand up and fight for your goals, but in doing so, remember it is more important to focus on the greater good than on your ego self.

Our Beltane ceremony will be on April 29th at 6:00 pm. More on this soon.

The Moon in Aries is a great time to commit to personal goals and to take action. Try something new and innovative and be assertive and confident as you dive in headfirst to a bright new future.

This New Moon is the start of a new chapter in your life as well as in the collective.

Full Moon in Virgo-Pisces on March 7th

The Full Moon is on March 7th, 2023 at 5:07 am MST. This is also known as the Worm Moon due to the appearance of earthworms as the soil warms with the coming of Spring.

Astrologically, the Moon is in Virgo and the Sun is in Pisces. It’s a time to find a balance between the order and routines of the grounded Virgo Moon and the visionary, spiritual Pisces Sun … a balance between work and service, practicality and intuition. It’s a great time to take action on your passions.

This Full Moon coincides with the Sun, Mercury, and Neptune all in the water sign of Pisces. We are more sensitive to emotional undercurrents and the allure of fantasy, yet the Virgo Moon keeps us practical.
