This Full Moon period begins late Friday afternoon, June 21st at 6:08 pm PDT (Arizona time).
This is known as the Strawberry Moon due to the ripening of strawberries. It is also sometimes called the Honey Moon due to the production of honey at this time of year, or the Rose Moon due to roses blooming. This Moon is known as a symbol of love, purity, and prosperity. It’s time to savor life’s sweetness. Strawberries are also associated with the heart chakra, so this is a time of greater compassion for self and others and a reminder that we are all a part of something greater than ourselves.
At the time of this Full Moon, the Moon is in Capricorn and the Sun is exactly opposed the Moon in Cancer. Cancer as a water sign, is about hearth, home, and family, a sensitive and compassionate approach to life. Capricorn is an Earth sign ruled by the planet Saturn, the planet of structure and responsibility. This Capricorn Moon brings a sense of groundedness, determination, and ambition. Integrity and self-awareness help us to set firm boundaries when needed, to honor our commitments, and to navigate the complexities of life with clarity and purpose, even while we balance with kindness and care.
There are some significant aspects that can affect our moods and assist in communications and introspection.
