New Moon in Leo on August 4th

The New Moon is in Leo on Aug 4, 2024, at 4:14 am PDT (Arizona time). This is the beginning of the new lunar cycle. It’s a time of new beginnings and a time of renewal. It’s a great time to start new projects, set intentions, and taking initiative to get started.

The New Moon in Leo is related to being in the spotlight and impressing others, thus earning praise and admiration. Yet, also realize that Leo energy doesn’t particularly like criticism so just do your best to accept feedback and use it for self-improvement. Leo is also very playful and heart-centered, so be open to following your heart, and expressing your feelings, even if it means taking a risk. Your dreams and visions will guide you.

It’s also a great time to look at things from a higher perspective – what’s in the greatest good for self AND others. And although generally energetic, do take time to rest and rejuvenate when needed.

There are also some interesting aspects. Watch the video to learn more about helpful sextiles as well as Mercury retrograde, and more.

Please note that our Lughnasadh ceremony will be on Facebook Live on the Druids of the Light Facebook page on Saturday, August 3rd at 6:00 pm PDT. The ceremony will include a New Moon working. Replay will be available after the ceremony.

Blessings of the first harvest and this new moon to you!

Full Moon in Capricorn-Cancer on July 21st, 2024

This Full moon is on July 21st at 6:08 pm, PDT (Arizona time).

This is known as the Buck Moon due to new bucks growing their antlers at this time of your. It’s also sometimes called the Thunder Moon due to many thunderstorms at this time of year, and also the Hay Moon as the farmers get ready to start harvesting hay to be stored for the winter.

When we have a full moon, astrologically, the sun and moon are in opposing signs. At the time of this full moon, the Sun is in the final degrees of Cancer and the Moon is in the final degrees of Capricorn, and exactly opposed at 6:08 pm. Cancer has to do with family and home, compassion and caring, whereas Capricorn is more about structure and responsibility. Pay attention as things arise and take on challenges with grace and positivity whenever possible.

There are several aspects at play, from increased sensitivity to miscommunications and power struggles, eventually leading to healthy grounded communications.

Please note that our Lughnasadh ceremony will be on August 3rd on Facebook Live. More about that next time.
