The Libra New Moon is exact at 10:55 am on October 14th at 10:55 AM PDT (Arizona time).
This is a new moon cycle so it’s a time for new beginnings and setting intentions for the month to come. This New Moon in Libra is all about a desire to keep things nice -in balance and harmony. Libra represents the archetypal scales which strives for balance and fairness. Connection and clarity are prevalent, as well as diplomatic conversations.
This New Moon is also aligned with a full Solar Eclipse just before the exact time of the New Moon. The eclipse energy makes everything more powerful so do expect to be focusing on relationships of all kinds at this time.

Also, please note that our Samhain Ceremony is on October 28th at 4:30 pm, the same day as the next full moon. Put aside the date….The ceremony will be on the Druids of the Light Facebook page.
I am here today to talk to you about this Full Moon period we are beginning early Friday morning, September 29th and which is exact at 2:58 am AZ (PDT) time.
This is known as the Full Harvest Moon because it’s the full moon closest to the beginning of Autumn, and it is the last of 4 Super Moons of this year, so some call it the Super Harvest Moon. Some also call it the Corn Moon due to corn still being harvested.
We have a full moon when the sun and moon are considered in opposition. Astrologically, this means that both the Sun and Moon are in opposing signs, and at the time of this Full Moon, the Sun is in Libra, and the moon will be entering Aries on Thursday night at 5:17 pm AZ (PDT) time, and as I mentioned, will be exactly opposed the Sun on Friday, Sept 29th at 2:58 am, both at 6 degrees of their respective signs. There will also be a Lunar Eclipse at about 10 minutes before the full moon peak.
Since Aries often represents Self, and Libra represents Other, we see the necessity of finding the balance between our personal needs and the needs of others, not always an easy negotiation. The diplomacy and fair-mindedness of the Libra Sun is thwarted by the independence and authenticity of the Aries Moon. So, there will be the need for lots of communication to reach a place of harmony – asking ourselves, What’s more important, what I want or what they want? Expressing ourselves is paramount, but do so with care and gentleness. And sometimes that warring sense is within ourselves….finding our own balance between the conscious and subconscious.

This is the beginning of the September moon cycle and both the Sun and Moon are conjunct in Virgo on the 14th. It’s a great time to consider your intentions for the month to come. The New Moon in Virgo is very grounded, since Virgo is an Earth sign. It’s an opportunity to use your intuitions to ground yourself in projects to be nurtured into fruition. It’s also a great time to organize your life. Virgo energy is detail-oriented which helps in getting things done. There is also an aspect of health and healing with Virgo energy… self-care is significant.

This full moon period begins on Wednesday evening, August 30th at 6:36 pm PDT.
This is a Blue Moon because it’s the second full moon in the month of August and it’s rare to have two full moons in the same month – thus the name comes from Just Once in a Blue Moon. The next one will be in a few years. It’s a Supermoon because the moon is closest to the Earth for all of 2023.
Astrologically, the Sun and Moon are in opposing signs on the Full Moon, and in this case, the Sun is in Virgo and the Moon is in Pisces. Virgo is all about productivity and steadiness and Pisces is all about intuition and creativity. This is a great time to remember our interconnectedness as we explore the mysteries of the world. It’s a great time for healing, meditation, spiritual practices, and a connection to Nature and the Soul.
It’s a good time to set long-term intentions for the years to come.

It’s also a wonderful time to tune in to that Leo energy that offers us creativity and romance, as well as a sense of self-confidence and healthy pride in ourselves and the ability to express the same to others. Warmth, hospitality, generosity, and unique self-expression are keywords for this cycle.
The first August Full Moon is on August 1st at 11:32 am PDT.
This is known as the Sturgeon Full moon due to the abundance of sturgeons in North America’s lakes and rivers during the summer months. Although an ancient species, sturgeons are now somewhat endangered due to it being a source of caviar. This full moon is also called the Grain Moon or the Barley Moon due to the relationship with the first harvests.
The Moon is in Aquarius and the Sun is in Leo at this time. The Leo Sun brings in a sense of pride and individuality, and a strong enthusiasm which people find inspiring. The Aquarian Moon, on the other hand, is very humanitarian, community-oriented, and also very individualistic. This all can cause us to feel rebellious and more spontaneous. Do check within first to higher guidance.

Blessings of this Full Moon and of Lughnasadh to you!
Thank you for your interest in becoming a sacred reader.
The next step is for us to do a test run…. So probably after service and prayer circle on Sunday, I can have you try out, so to speak. Pick a few readings…. Usually 5 or 6 sentences from someone whose message is in alignment with the things Michael talks about. And if all goes well, we will be adding you to the schedule.
Every month, Michael sends out a schedule of who does the reading which week. On the week that you are scheduled, you will send me three choices by that Wednesday, and I will send back the one we decide on, usually by Thursday, so you’ll have time to prepare it, print it, practice it, etc. Since we are adding readers, you may only be doing it once a month or every other month.
So your next step is to choose, probably two choices to practice with on Sunday. Mostly, I’ll be looking for enunciation, volume, comfort speaking in front of people, and your ability to read it with solemnity.
