New Moon in Leo on August 4th

The New Moon is in Leo on Aug 4, 2024, at 4:14 am PDT (Arizona time). This is the beginning of the new lunar cycle. It’s a time of new beginnings and a time of renewal. It’s a great time to start new projects, set intentions, and taking initiative to get started.

The New Moon in Leo is related to being in the spotlight and impressing others, thus earning praise and admiration. Yet, also realize that Leo energy doesn’t particularly like criticism so just do your best to accept feedback and use it for self-improvement. Leo is also very playful and heart-centered, so be open to following your heart, and expressing your feelings, even if it means taking a risk. Your dreams and visions will guide you.

It’s also a great time to look at things from a higher perspective – what’s in the greatest good for self AND others. And although generally energetic, do take time to rest and rejuvenate when needed.

There are also some interesting aspects. Watch the video to learn more about helpful sextiles as well as Mercury retrograde, and more.

Please note that our Lughnasadh ceremony will be on Facebook Live on the Druids of the Light Facebook page on Saturday, August 3rd at 6:00 pm PDT. The ceremony will include a New Moon working. Replay will be available after the ceremony.

Blessings of the first harvest and this new moon to you!

This Full moon is on July 21st at 6:08 pm, PDT (Arizona time).

This is known as the Buck Moon due to new bucks growing their antlers at this time of your. It’s also sometimes called the Thunder Moon due to many thunderstorms at this time of year, and also the Hay Moon as the farmers get ready to start harvesting hay to be stored for the winter.

When we have a full moon, astrologically, the sun and moon are in opposing signs. Full Moon in Capricorn-Cancer on June 21, 2024

This Full Moon period begins late Friday afternoon, June 21st at 6:08 pm PDT (Arizona time).

This is known as the Strawberry Moon due to the ripening of strawberries. It is also sometimes called the Honey Moon due to the production of honey at this time of year, or the Rose Moon due to roses blooming. This Moon is known as a symbol of love, purity, and prosperity. It’s time to savor life’s sweetness. Strawberries are also associated with the heart chakra, so this is a time of greater compassion for self and others and a reminder that we are all a part of something greater than ourselves.

At the time of this Full Moon, the Moon is in Capricorn and the Sun is exactly opposed the Moon in Cancer. Cancer as a water sign, is about hearth, home, and family, a sensitive and compassionate approach to life. Capricorn is an Earth sign ruled by the planet Saturn, the planet of structure and responsibility. This Capricorn Moon brings a sense of groundedness, determination, and ambition. Integrity and self-awareness help us to set firm boundaries when needed, to honor our commitments, and to navigate the complexities of life with clarity and purpose, even while we balance with kindness and care.

Full Moon in Sagittarius-Gemini on May 23rd

The May Full Moon is on May 23rd at 6:53 am PDT (Arizona time). The sun is newly in Gemini and the moon is entering Sagittarius just a few hours before the full moon is exact.

This is known as the Flower Moon due to all of the blossoming flowers of Spring. It symbolizes renewal and growth. Just as the flowers emerge from the earth, shedding their past, so are we called to shed that which no longer serves us.

This Full Moon highlights a time of change and learning to be comfortable with those changes. Sagittarius energy is known for its uplifting, enlightening, and lucky effects, offering new glimmers of hope. It’s a time of breakthroughs, unexpected blessings, and philosophical discussions. Be open to inspirations that come to you at this time.

This full moon is blessed with many positive aspects that help with reconciliations and rewarding communications.

New Moon in Taurus on May 7, 2024

The New Moon on Taurus is exact on Tuesday, May 7th at 8:22 pm PDT (Arizona time). The new moon is a time of new beginnings so it’s a great time to start new projects and sowing the seeds for future harvesting.

This New Moon brings a breath of fresh air after the Solar Eclipse energy from a few weeks ago. It’s time to ground and slow down a bit. It’s a great time to start new projects, as previously mentioned… especially those that bring more stability and comfort into your life.

It’s time to appreciate what really matters – the small pleasures of life; good food, a warm hug, a walk in Nature. Nurture self-love and self-esteem.

There is a lot going on aspect-wise, from intense deep reflection and transformation, steady progress, and possibly unexpected love.

Full Moon in Scorpio-Taurus on April 23rd

The Full Moon on April 23rd, 2024 is on Tuesday afternoon at 4:49 pm AZ time (PDT).

This is known as the Pink Moon due to the pink blossoms of wild ground phlox, a wildflower that blooms in the Spring. The pink color symbolizes love, compassion, and emotional healing. It’s a great time to focus on cultivating positive energy in your life and in relationships.

This Full Moon is in Scorpio and opposing the Sun in Taurus. This opposition highlights the tension between our survival instinct and our desire to evolve, change, and challenge ourselves. Unresolved issues will be difficult to ignore and conflicts from the past may resurface. However, with emotional honesty and thoughtful communication, you could actually intensify bonds.

It’s time to slow down and trust yourself to change and grow. Be willing to adapt or change your strategies. Set boundaries as needed and recognize what you need to let go and move forward. This brings empowerment and evolution as well.

Watch the video to learn more.

Please note that our Beltane ceremony will be on Facebook Live on May 4th at 6:00 pm PDT.

Also, please note that my plan is to begin doing Druid classes on Zoom, starting June 3rd, every Monday from 4:30-6:00 pm. If you are interested, please let me know.
