New Moon in Aquarius on January 29th

I am here to talk to you about this New Moon period we are beginning early morning on Wednesday, January 29th, at 3:36 am Arizona time (MST).

This also represents the end of one lunar cycle and the beginning of another. Astrologically, this means that both the Sun and Moon are in the sign of Aquarius. The New Moon is a time of new beginnings, a time to start fresh, reflect, and set intentions for the time to come.

This New Moon in Aquarius brings a yearning for emotional freedom, and independence from anything that seems like it is constraining in any way. It brings a vibrant sense of humor, sharp wit, and an appetite for lively debates, which may lead to being entertaining, but also sometimes overwhelming. It’s definitely time to go with the flow, even if you feel a bit unsettled, or encounter the unexpected.

You may have some interesting visions of the future, as you often will be “thinking out of the box” and even though not everyone may be ready to hear them, you may find that more approve of your plans than not. Embrace change and innovation, foster connections with your community, and set meaningful intentions for the future, especially in the areas of social justice or working for the highest good of the collective.

Aspect-wise, there is also a lot going on with this Aquarian energy.

Blessings of this freedom-loving New Moon to you!

Full Moon in Cancer-Capricorn on January 13th

The Full Moon period begins on Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 1:27 PM MST (Arizona time)

This Full Moon is known as the Wolf Moon. The Wolff moon is named thus for the hungry wolves that would be howling as they looked for food in the stark of winter. It is also known as the ice moon or the old moon to reflect the icy conditions and heavy snowfall during the early winter months. It’s a highly energetic time which is excellent for manifestation, healing, clarification, and celebration. This particular full moon brings a cozy, nurturing vibe to it for self-care, so find a way to create a safe space for yourself.

We have a Full Moon when the sun and moon are considered in opposition. Astrologically this means that both the sun and moon are in opposing signs and at the time of this full moon the sun is in Capricorn and the moon is in Cancer. The Full Moon in Cancer promotes a chance to tap into your heart and emotions amidst an otherwise business-minded Capricorn season. Feel your feelings and focus on home and family and a sense of belonging. Do be aware that the Cancer energy brings a bit of sensitivity, and there may be some emotional fluctuations. Learn to forgive and forget as much as you can.

Aspect-wise, there’s a lot going on, especially with emotional communications and other upheavals.

Please watch the video to learn more.

Please note that you can still watch the replay of the Winter Solstice ceremony on the Druids of the Light Facebook page.

Also, please note that our Imbolc ceremony will be on February 1st at 5:00 pm MST.

Blessings of this Full Moon to you!

New Moon in Capricorn on December 30th

Happy Solstice!!

Just before New Year’s Eve, we have a New Moon. What a perfect time for new beginnings.

I am here to tell you about this New Moon period beginning mid-afternoon on Monday, December 30th at 3:27 pm Arizona time (MST). This also represents the end of one lunar cycle and the beginning of another. Astrologically, this means that both the Sun and Moon are in the same sign, and on Dec. 30th, they are both in the sign of Capricorn.

The new moon is usually a time of new beginnings, a time to start fresh, reflect, and set intentions for the new year. The New Moon in Capricorn brings you to this time to focus on some of your practical and attainable long-term goals for the future. It’s a time to make commitments and recognize responsibilities, as you nurture your dreams in a practical and realistic way. Capricorn likes to make solid plans and set the stage for reaping rewards in the future. There is a strong discipline and commitment in making the hard choices to prepare for greater success. This is also a great time to establish healthy boundaries, let go of that which doesn’t serve you, and recognize that step-by-step patience gets you to your goals.

Aspect-wise, we are beginning all of this with the Winter Solstice – when the Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st, bringing in the practical, no-nonsense earth sign energy that gets you serious about your goals and responsibilities.

Full Moon in Gemini-Sagittarius on Dec. 15th

This Full Moon period is beginning in the early morning on December 15th at 2:02 AM MST (Arizona time).

This Full Moon is known as the Cold Moon, sometimes also called the Long Night Moon, the Oak Moon, or the Winter Moon. It marks the beginning of Winter and the colder, darker time of year. It’s a time to pause, rest, and reflect. Take time to slow down and be fully present in activities that bring you joy and pleasure. It’s an opportunity to gain clarity, release pent-up emotions, and honor achievements.

Astrologically, the Sun and Moon are in opposing signs at the time of the Full Moon. For this Full Moon, the Sun is in Sagittarius and the Moon is in Gemini. The Full Moon in Gemini promotes versatility, inquisitiveness, charming communication skills, and a witty creativity, as well as a curiosity about the world around you. It’s a great time to socialize with friends and family, and visions you have been mulling over may start to manifest. Focus on clarity and release, as you prepare for new opportunities that lie ahead.

There are several aspects to consider during this period, including Mercury moving out of retrograde and aspects to the expansive Jupiter.

New Moon in Sagittarius on November 30, 2024

The New Moon period begins late Saturday night, November 30th, at 11:21 pm MST (Arizona time).

The New Moon is the end of one lunar cycle and the beginning of another. Astrologically, it means that the Sun and Moon are in the same astrological sign. This time it is Sagittarius. The New Moon is a time of new beginnings, so it’s a great time to plan new ideas and projects in the weeks to come.

The energy of Sagittarius tends to be expansive, free, and visionary, as we plant seeds of optimism and allowing ourselves to leave the painful parts of the past behind, and visualize a bigger and brighter future.

The New Moon in Sagittarius renews your sense of adventure, so you may be traveling and/or spending quality time with family and friends. You love to learn, so you may register for a new class. You may also consider all possibilities of a situation rather than focusing on roadblocks. This New Moon offers you hope and a bigger picture. You can imagine what your situation could be, and see things from a higher perspective.

Full Moon in Taurus-Scorpio on November 15th

This Full Moon is on November 15th at 2:28 pm MST (Arizona time).

This is known as the Beaver Moon, due to the fact that beavers are known to be especially active in November, building dams and shelters to survive the cold months to come. Other common names are the Frost moon or the Freezing Moon due to the first frosts in the northern hemisphere. There are also other names used, based upon this cooler season. The Beaver Moon is all about preparation and adaptation, so it’s also a good time for us to evaluate our own resources, as the colder months approach.

We have a Full Moon when the Sun and Moon are in opposition, astrologically. At the time of this Full Moon, the Sun is in Scorpio and the Moon is in Taurus (as of the 14th) and directly opposed the Sun on the 15th at 2:28 PM. The Full Moon in Taurus promotes groundedness, determination, and focus. The Scorpio Sun is intense and emotionally driven, so it is still a great time to do inner work, and realize that there may be some significant transformations happening in your life.

Aspect-wise, things are on again, off again, day by day. Lots of changes and unknowns hopefully leading to positive solutions.

This is known as the Harvest Moon as this is the time of year when crops are ready to be harvested. It is also known as the Corn Moon or the Falling Leaves Moon by various cultures, as well as other similar names.
