Traditionally, Lughnasadh is celebrated on our about August 1st. This year, Druids of the Light is offering our ceremony which celebrates the first harvest on August 3rd at 6:00pm. Lughnasadh is the time of the year when summer starts turning towards autumn. It is also the time of the first harvest, and is the first of three harvest ceremonies. In Arizona, Lughnasadh is a time to be thankful for the rains and for the bounty of the land. It is a time to gather with friends and kin in merriment. The ceremony is approximately 45 minutes long, and there will be a time of socializing after the ritual. Our ceremony will be at Unity of Sedona, in Unity’s Peace Park (lawn area), but will move to the Chapel in case of rain.
