On Thursday, November 4th at 2:14 pm AZ time, the Sun and Moon will both be conjunct in Scorpio. This new moon brings an intensity of emotions and a deepening. It’s a time of endings and beginnings, so it is a great time to go within, do your inner work, let go of anything that isn’t serving, and begin to reinvent yourself. Explore your depths, your passions, and deepest desires.

I am letting you know that Donna O’Toole, who has been a part of Druids of the Light for a number of years, has now finished all of her requirements to be ordained as clergy in Druids of the Light. She is now in Florida, and I am in Sedona, Arizona, so we will be doing this via Zoom on Sunday night at 6:15 pm Arizona time (9:15 pm Eastern Time).

The Full Hunter Moon is coming up. Next week, on Wednesday, October 20th, the full moon will be exact at 7:56 am Arizona (PDT) time. Sun in Libra and Moon in Aries makes this full moon all about balancing between Other and Self, where Libra tends to be more social and relationship-oriented, thinking as WE, and Aries tends to be more concerned with oneself, I. It truly is important to find the balance between the two. We need to take care of ourselves and not just give in to others, and yet, be diplomatic in learning to communicate tactfully and clearly.

We are also moving towards Samhain, the time of endings and beginnings, which aligns with the Full Moon cycle. The veils are thinning and we can feel more otherworldly influences around us. It’s a time to regenerate and be in the silence as well as celebrating for the last of our harvest from the year behind us, and preparing for the dark half of the year.

Our Samhain ceremony is on Oct. 30th at 4:30 pm, online on the Druids of the Light Facebook page. We will be sending out a reminder when we get closer to the date.

The next ceremony of the Wheel of the Year is Samhain – the time of the New Year in the Celtic tradition.

Samhain is a sacred time when we welcome the turning towards winter, the last of the harvest celebrations, the halfway mark between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice. It is also considered to be the beginning of the Druid New Year. We honor our Ancestors at this time when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest.

Come and join Druids of the Light in a very special Ancestor Rite in honor of Samhain, followed by a special blessing to carry us into the coming year. We will be meeting on Facebook Live on the Druids of the Light Facebook page on Saturday, October 30th at 4:30 pm.

The moon is New on October 6th at 4:05 am, AZ time. This is the start of a new moon cycle. Libra has to do with Balance and Diplomacy, especially in our communications and relationships. There are some aspects that may affect the usual harmony of this moon, including aspects with Mars and Uranus, and Mercury is retrograde until Oct. 18th.
