June Moon Phase of the New and Full Moons

I am here today to talk to you about this moon phase, beginning with the New Moon on Tuesday July14th at 2:44 AM PDT, and then the Full Moon on Monday July 29th at 7:36 AM PDT.

This also represents the end of one lunar cycle & the beginning of another. Astrologically, this means that both the Sun & Moon are in the same sign. On July 14th, they are both in the sign of Cancer. The New Moon is usually a time of new beginnings, and this particular New Moon brings in a desire for self-care, perhaps quietly sitting out in Nature. It’s also favors creativity and self-discovery.

This New Moon emphasizes a feeling of safety related to your home, your family, and those close to you. You may be prone to emotional fluctuations but remember to forgive and forget to avoid depression from too much thinking. Concentrate on new ways to enhance your family life and domestic affairs, as well as your sense of security and safety.

The Full Buck Moon is on Wednesday, July 29th at 7:36 AM. The Full Moon is known as the Buck Moon, because it illuminates the sky during the month when buck deer begin to grow their new antlers. It’s also known as the Sturgeon Moon, the Midsummer Moon, the Thunder Moon, the Ripe Corn Moon, and the Herb Moon, for obvious and various reasons.

This Full Moon gives us an energetic climax of the extraordinary month we just experienced. Life is incredibly alive and rich in possibilities. There may be technological breakthroughs, powerful social impulses, or the emergence of a new voice in the collective that impacts us far into the future. You may feel a strong need for emotional freedom. Do be open to what’s coming next. This is also a reminder that strength doesn’t necessarily come from speed or intensity but from depth and consistency. Themes of grounding, wisdom, and reflection on what supports you beneath the surface.
