The first New Moon of 2022 is on Jan. 2nd at 11:33 am MST and both the sun and moon are in the sign of Capricorn. This is the time to make plans and set goals for the upcoming year. Capricorn is a bit more cautious, more serious, more grounded, more determined, so that aids in the planning AND in the implementation of what is to come. An exact trine to Uranus brings optimism, intuition, and a sense of freedom.

This full moon is on December 18th, 2021 at 9:35pm AZ time (MST). A full moon is a time of bringing things to completion, and this particular full moon has us focusing on our home, family, and intimate relationships. This full moon is also trine Jupiter, which brings good luck, optimism, prosperity, and happiness. Goodwill and generosity are prominent at this time.

The New Moon is this coming Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at 12:43 AM Arizona (MST) time. Sagittarius is optimistic – philosophical, adventurous, and a time to be aware of our inner calling. This is also a time of a Solar Eclipse, which is paired with a number of aspects that may be quite intense. Remember to stay grounded, emotionally balanced, and be aware of your communications with others, as well as paying attention to your inner guidance, which is leading you into greater wisdom.

Finally, stay tuned for more information about our Winter Solstice ceremony on Facebook Live on December 18th at 4:00 pm. This is also the day of the next full moon, so the ceremony will be incorporating ways to work with that energy.

The Winter Solstice is a solemn time, when we acknowledge the longest night. It is a time of introspection and profound beauty. As the seasons turn, it is also a time of celebration, as from this time forth in the wheel of the year, the light returns and the days grow longer.

Come and join Druids of the Light in acknowledgement of the darkness and the return of the light. We will be meeting on Facebook Live at 4:00 pm on Saturday evening, December 18th, 2021. The ceremony is approximately 30 minutes long. Suggested love offering of $10.

The Full Moon is exact on Friday, November 19th at 1:57 AM MST (AZ Time). This is a time of endings and beginnings both because it is a full moon, as well as the time of year that it takes place. This is also a partial lunar eclipse, so that needs to be considered. It’s a significant eclipse, with 97% coverage of the moon, so this particular full moon is bringing intensity and volatility as secrets are uncovered, and a shifting of values, especially around money. Remember to stay aligned with your highest guidance and and set intentions for living from Love and Light.

On Thursday, November 4th at 2:14 pm AZ time, the Sun and Moon will both be conjunct in Scorpio. This new moon brings an intensity of emotions and a deepening. It’s a time of endings and beginnings, so it is a great time to go within, do your inner work, let go of anything that isn’t serving, and begin to reinvent yourself. Explore your depths, your passions, and deepest desires.

The Full Hunter Moon is coming up. Next week, on Wednesday, October 20th, the full moon will be exact at 7:56 am Arizona (PDT) time. Sun in Libra and Moon in Aries makes this full moon all about balancing between Other and Self, where Libra tends to be more social and relationship-oriented, thinking as WE, and Aries tends to be more concerned with oneself, I. It truly is important to find the balance between the two. We need to take care of ourselves and not just give in to others, and yet, be diplomatic in learning to communicate tactfully and clearly.

We are also moving towards Samhain, the time of endings and beginnings, which aligns with the Full Moon cycle. The veils are thinning and we can feel more otherworldly influences around us. It’s a time to regenerate and be in the silence as well as celebrating for the last of our harvest from the year behind us, and preparing for the dark half of the year.

Our Samhain ceremony is on Oct. 30th at 4:30 pm, online on the Druids of the Light Facebook page. We will be sending out a reminder when we get closer to the date.

The next ceremony of the Wheel of the Year is Samhain – the time of the New Year in the Celtic tradition.

Samhain is a sacred time when we welcome the turning towards winter, the last of the harvest celebrations, the halfway mark between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice. It is also considered to be the beginning of the Druid New Year. We honor our Ancestors at this time when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest.

Come and join Druids of the Light in a very special Ancestor Rite in honor of Samhain, followed by a special blessing to carry us into the coming year. We will be meeting on Facebook Live on the Druids of the Light Facebook page on Saturday, October 30th at 4:30 pm.
